Home to the Universities of North Carolina State, Duke, and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, the region is recognized for its leadership in research. Also famous for great basketball and sports, this is the time of year to be there.
Duke's Blue Devils Men's and Women's Basketball teams are mid season and play through April Tennis is also currently in season as well. The University of North Carolina Tar Heels supports a comprehensive sports program, featuring a a full Men's and Women's Calendar.
